The Laver Cup, the international indoor hard court men’s tennis tournament created by Roger Federer and his agent Tony Godsick, is taking place between September 20 and 22 this year.

Founded in 2016 and named after Australia’s Rod Laver, one of the greatest tennis players of all time with 11 Grand Slam titles to his name, the Laver Cup is a competition between two teams – Team Europe and Team World – which is composed of players from non-European countries.

This year, the competition is taking place in Palexpo, a convention center in Geneva, Switzerland.

For the third year running, Team Europe is headed up by Bjorn Borg and Team World is helmed by John McEnroe.

In Bjorn’s team are tennis heavyweights Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem as well Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Fabio Fognini and Roberto Bautista Agut.

Making up Team World are John Isner, Milos Raonic, Nick Kyrgios, Taylor Fritz, Denis Shapovalov, Jack Sock and Jordan Thompson.

How to watch the Laver Cup and what channel is it on?

In the UK, viewers can watch the Laver Cup on Eurosport and Amazon Prime Live.

The day session of matches begins at 1pm local time every day and the night session begins at 7pm local time. Geneva is one hour ahead of the UK, so the matches will be shown live at midday and 6pm GMT.
