ARC and Vermantia launch European Racing Channel

Must read

UK racecourse owner and operator Arena Racing Company, and Greek firm Vermantia, a leading provider of multi-channel content solutions for lotteries, gaming and betting operators, have launched the European Racing Channel, claiming it will provide the most complete offering of its kind worldwide for the betting market.

The European Racing Channel, now available both via satellite and streaming, includes a daily schedule of thoroughbred and greyhound races, broadcast live from racecourses in the UK, Australia, South Africa and the USA, comprising at least 40,000 live races per year.

The Channel is produced and distributed from Vermantia’s Content Hub in Athens and includes 15 hours or more of live racing per day, covering the retail operating hours of betting operators across Europe.

The service is coupled with a race data feed. Bespoke versions of the Channel, with custom scheduling and content mix, are also available.

ARC’s director of international markets, Antony Hopkins, said: “The launch of the European Racing Channel enables operators to receive a service with live racing from Tier 1 jurisdictions with a heritage of quality and integrity.  This compelling proposition will work for the bookmaker and maximise the return to racing.”

ARC took a majority stake in Vermantia in March.
