Weather maps show exact date 24C blast from Europe is set to hit

Brits can expect a significant drop in temperatures in the coming weeks following the recent scorching weather. However, sun lovers have something to look forward to as a burst of heat from Europe is anticipated to hit on Wednesday, July 10.

The temperature is set to soar to 24C in southern England, with similar warm conditions expected in the London area. Meanwhile, Derby is predicted to see highs of around 21C.

However, not all parts of Britain will feel the warmth, with the mildest forecast being just 11C in Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park. Temperatures are likely to dip again by Thursday, July 11, in the morning but will rise to similar levels by lunchtime as the previous day.

The brief spell of warmth is due to end on Friday, July 12, with temperatures ranging from 13C on the south coast to a high of 22C around Norwich, reports the Express. Jim Dale, senior meteorologist and founder of British Weather Services, has expressed scepticism about these latest forecasts. He anticipates average temperatures and mixed conditions, warning that low pressure could be a persistent feature, potentially driving temperatures down even further.

He commented: “I’m not sure where that is coming from. I’ve currently got average temps and mixed weather for that period with low pressure never far away.” Jim gave a forecast for next week’s Election Day, Thursday, July 4. He announced: “Also I’ve got a mixed weather election day. Cool in north, warmer in the south. Some rain and showers at times for many.”

European weather has been significantly spiking over the past weeks with no chances of the intense Mediterranean heat easing. Spain and most of southern Europe will stand at temperatures between 30C and 37C till mid-July.

The Met Office has issued a long-range weather forecast which extends from Tuesday, July 2 until Thursday, July 11. Some days in this period could be “rather warm”.
