EU seeks expertise in technology infrastructures – Research Professional News

Commission to set up advisory group to improve innovation, productivity and international competitiveness

The European Commission has called for applications from experts to help the EU with the provision of technology infrastructures to industry, especially small companies.

An expert group will be created by the Commission department for research and innovation, with a mandate lasting until the end of 2024.

The department said it was creating the group because “industry’s innovation capacity, productivity and international competitiveness heavily depend on such services supporting the uptake of R&I results for the green and digital transitions”.

The call text says: “Technology infrastructures can be sector-specific or technology-focused and they can be public, semi-public or private. In this context, the current landscape of technology infrastructures is rich, while scattered and complex.”

The deadline for application is 11 December.
