Adah Sharma-Led The Kerala Story To Make Its Debut At 54th International Film Festival Of India

Adah Sharma-starrer ‘The Kerala Story’ is one of the biggest hits of 2023 and collected around Rs 200 crore within a month. The audience showered ‘The Kerala Story’ with love and support and made it a huge hit despite the film receiving a lot of backlash ahead of its release. The movie has achieved another milestone as it will make its debut at the grand screen at the 54th IFFI (International Film Festival of India) 2023 in Goa.

Announcing the news, the production house Sunshine Pictures wrote on Instagram, “‘The Kerala Story’ unfolds on the grand screen at the 54th IFFI 2023 in Goa on November 27th at 4:30 PM at INOX Screen-II, Old GMC Building, Campal!”

Director Sudipto Sen earlier claimed that the movie is struggling to find a suitable OTT partner and the film industry has united against them. In an interview with Rediff, Sudipto Sen claimed that the movie’s box office has irked many sections of the film industry. “But so far, we have not got any offer worth considering. It seems the film industry has ganged up to punish us,” he told Rediff.

He further added, “Our box office success has irked many sections of the film industry. We have a feeling that a section of the entertainment industry has united to punish us for our success.”

Adah Sharma earlier thanked the audience for making the movie a hit. She wrote, “5th week and #TheKeralaStory still going strong. Thank you for keeping us alive in theatres still and repeat watching it. cya in theatres today and support the new releases as well and watch them also in theatres and make their movies also big big blockbusters like ours. Yes yes, I know post-pandemic 5th week is a dream and I’m very very grateful.”

Apart from Adah Sharma, the movie also stars Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani.
